Key Highlights:
- More than 4 million meals or meal-equivalents were provided across MTM, MTG and Produce Rx programs by 26 organizations.
- Over 62,000 individuals were served.
- More than 4 million meal-equivalents were delivered via medically tailored groceries.
These data reflect not just numbers, but stories of health, dignity and innovation across food is medicine programs.
As the need for nutrition support among individuals living with chronic, complex and serious illnesses continues to grow, it is more important than ever to strengthen the nonprofits leading this work. FIMC agencies provide medically tailored meals, groceries, and produce prescriptions at no cost to clients, ensuring access to food as medicine. While FIMC agencies continue working toward healthcare reimbursement, the reality of access means that much of this lifesaving work remains powered by philanthropy.
