Camila is a dedicated leader with a focus on health equity policy and advancing the Food Is Medicine movement. With a passion for social justice and community engagement in the NYC area, she currently serves as the Manager of Policy & Advocacy at God’s Love We Deliver. In this role, Camila spearheads advocacy and policy measures aimed at expanding coverage of Medically Tailored Meals through Medicare and Medicaid. Camila is also currently a member of the New York City HIV Planning Council, a community group appointed by the Mayor of New York City to plan the organization and delivery of HIV services across the city funded by Part A of the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Treatment Extension Act. She was a member of the inaugural cohort of the John R. Lewis Scholars and Fellows program through the Faith & Politics Institute and is now an alum of the Fellowship for Emerging Leaders in Public Service at NYU Wagner. Camila received both her B.A. in Political Science and her M.A. in Ethics & Society from Fordham University.
